In a press statement that was made public, Voice revealed that they would incorporate NFTs into the PhotoVogue Festivals event that will take place in Milan in November. This comes as a result of a partnership that was formed between Voice and PhotoVogue a few weeks ago, which even introduced new NFT collections. Both the partnership and the event will contribute to furthering the education of the general public regarding the applications of NFT in photography.
NFTs Are Coming From Voice.com To The PhotoVogue Event
NFTs will be available for purchase at PhotoVogue festivals thanks to Voice.com, a major and top-tier NFT marketplace. The mission of the organization known as PhotoVogue is to assemble an impressive group of picture creators (photographers) and compile their work into a database containing a wide range of examples of modern photography.
The institution that is situated in Milan organizes a festival in its hometown on an annual basis. According to a number of reports, one of the unique partnership initiatives that will be taking place this year is Voice.com. This event is only an extension of the relationship between the two institutions, which share the shared aim of “supporting the new voices that will shape our future,” according to the press release.
The celebration will get underway on November 17 and continue until November 20. On the other hand, PhotoVogue will be hosting a panel discussion on November 19 to answer the issue “NFTs: A Photographer’s Friend or Enemy?” A number of the panelists were listed in the press release, including the well-known photographer Roe Ethridge, Alessia Glaviano, who is the Head of Global PhotoVogue, and Azu Nwagbogu, who is the Founder of the Lagos Photo Festival.
Salah Zalatimo, co-founder and CEO of Voice, made the following statement in reference to this partnership:
“There’s no better venue to hold the discourse about how to shape Web3 than at the PhotoVogue Festival, which is located in the heart of the photography community. If we work together, we can make sure that photography is at the forefront of the artistic movement of the future.”
The Residency Program is Utilized by Voice to Both Nature and Educate
In essence, the collaboration between the two groups didn’t start until this summer, when they worked together to bring an NFT residency program into existence. This was the very first time that PhotoVogue had ever ventured into the web3 world. According to a statement released by PhotoVogue in the month of July, the reason the publication decided to work with Voice was that the two organizations have a similar mission statement, which reads as follows: “empowering rising innovators from underrepresented and underprivileged communities.”
The collections that are part of the residency program are magnificent and consider a variety of points of view. Collaborations amongst a wide variety of artists from a variety of backgrounds result in collections that are centered on a single topic. As a result, the overall quality of the collections is extremely high.
The majority of photographers were able to benefit from Voice.com’s residency program by gaining knowledge about blockchain technology and the NFT market. Alessia Glaviano praised and thanked the crew at The Voice for educating them on NFTs, and she made the following statement:
“I would want to extend my gratitude to the staff of The Voice for the enthusiastic and thoughtful way in which they guided not only the performers but also us. Our weekly zoom lessons have been so inspiring and enriching… We all picked up a lot of information regarding NFTs, communities, working together, and the significance of sharing.”
The NFT as well as Photography
NFTs have seen tremendous acceptance across many various industries, particularly in the music industry, the sports industry, the art industry, the collectibles industry, and the luxury goods industry. PhotoVogue is helping to boost the adoption of NFTs in photography as well as in other industries by allowing Voice.com to participate in an event that is being held in Milan and even by conducting panels in which participants discuss the significance of NFTs in the field of photography.
