TokenSociety.io Acquires Dippies NFT Project

Following a vote by the Dippies community council, Token Society, Inc., a Web3 incubator and metaverse project launchpad, has announced that it has acquired all of the intellectual property and assets of the Dippies NFT and Dippies Vans NFT Projects.

The music-focused NFT project known as Dippies has worked with artists and labels including Snoop Dog, Champ Medici, and Steve Aoki, as well as Death Row Records. The project was started in March 2022, and 8,888 NFTs were originally sold. Subsequently, holders of NFTs were given the opportunity to purchase 11K+ Dippies Vans NFTs, which could be used in a play-to-earn (P2E) racing game and served as the holders’ key to the Dippieverse metaverse. To this day, a total of 9,345 ETH worth of secondary trading volume has been conducted on Opensea involving both of the NFT collections.

TokenSociety.io is required to continue the development of the P2E racing game DippiesRaces as part of the terms of the acquisition. The game will now be extended to include a multi-player augmented reality version, which will be developed by Altar, Inc. In addition, owners of Dippies NFT and Dippies Vans NFT will have access to a number of other P2E games and metaverse spaces that are currently being developed by TokenSociety. Some examples of these games and spaces are MERCHX, CasinoXR, and UniteaMeta.

TokenSociety will also integrate the Dippies community into their ecosystem of Web2 and Web3 companies. This will give owners of Dippies NFT access to a long list of utilities, such as opportunities to participate in television shows and movies that are currently in development with Archstone Entertainment. Other utilities include access to live events hosted by TokenSociety, major music festivals hosted by Unitea Music, and access to live events hosted by TokenSociety.

In addition to that, the SHOPX Web3 e-commerce platform is going to have Dippies NFTs included in it as well. Because of this, owners of Dippies NFTs will be able to use their Dippies NFTs rather than the SHOPX Licensing Token in order to use the SHOPX app and construct token-gated online shops. TokenSociety will also collaborate with the owners of Dippies NFTs to create intellectual property and products that can be monetized via the SHOPX platform or other distribution channels using the Dippies NFTs. These products and intellectual property will be based on the Dippies NFTs.

The original goal of the Dippies project was to create a worldwide community of free-thinking individuals who would work together to make the world a more libertarian place through the use of decentralized commercial enterprises. Scott H. Weissman, TokenSociety’s co-founder, and CEO stated that “this ethos was acquired by TokenSociety, and we will bring it to life with the expanding list of initiatives and strategic collaborations that are a part of our ecosystem.” He continued by saying, “We are delighted to collaborate with the Dippies NFT owners to generate valuable IP while offering the community the best metaverse and IRL experiences.”
