On Tuesday, the financial technology firm Ripple declared that it was “happy” to collaborate with NFT PRO and Ducati Motor Holding, the unit of the Italian firm Ducati that is in charge of producing motorcycles (12 July). According to a release from Ripple, the alliance aims to “start Web3 initiatives and bring Ducati NFTs to life utilizing the XRP Ledger” (XRPL).
The XRP cryptocurrency is the original digital asset of XRPL, which was created in 2012 by David Schwartz, Jed McCaleb, and Arthur Britto.

According to the brand’s website, Lamborghini, an Italian automaker whose German parent company is Audi, which is in turn controlled by the Volkswagen Group, “directly owns” Ducati. Italy’s Bologna is home to Ducati’s corporate headquarters.

Future Ducati initiatives “will be deployed utilizing Ripple, the premier blockchain partner offering technical support on the ultra-fast, low-cost, and carbon-neutral XRP Ledger (XRPL) blockchain,” according to a press statement from the company. The same press release that refers to NFT PRO as “the top corporate white-label NFT solution for worldwide companies” also made this claim.

The Bologna-based motorcycle maker “confirms the relevance of the digital world for the experiences it offers its customers,” according to the press release’s subsequent section. “A series of WEB 3.0 activities will be developed through the creation of new digital aggregation spaces, NFT collections, and opportunities to participate in the new activities typical of the WEB 3.0 universe, already relevant in the cryptocurrency community,” according to a statement made in the coming months.

The CEO of Ducati, Claudio Domenicali, had the following to say about the business:

“By increasing the range of services available to the Ducatisti community, entering WEB 3.0 is another method to decrease the distance between us and them. It also gives us the chance to connect with and introduce ourselves to a brand-new group of NFT enthusiasts, allowing them to partake in one-of-a-kind Ducati-style events and amass the digital assets we will create especially for this new facet of the company.

And Christian Ferri, the CEO of NFT PROTM, said the following:

“For us, the chance to collaborate with such a legendary motorcycle brand is a dream come true. Since I am an avid rider, we felt like children in a candy store as we developed a plan to introduce the brand to a completely different market. We look forward to developing more fun projects for Ducati’s fans to interact with and are incredibly delighted to have played a significant role in the debut of their NFT.

The British sports vehicle and racing car manufacturer Lotus Vehicles announced their “plans to enter the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).” the 16th of June. In a press release, Lotus said that it is working on its first NFT collection with NFT PRO and Ripple (which is “providing technical help” on the XRP Ledger).

Additionally, the relationship between Lotus and NFT PRO “marks the automobile brand’s entrance in the Web3 realm by building a community of – and exciting new opportunities for – Lotus consumers, NFT collectors, and crypto-fans,” according to the news release released by Lotus.

NFTs are “the next creative endeavor from Lotus Advanced Performance,” the division of the firm that was founded earlier this year, it continued. Each NFT in the series will “pay tribute to the pioneering essence of the renowned performance vehicle brand” and be “created in-house by Lotus Design.”

Simon Lane, the director of Lotus Advanced Performance, stated the following in response to it:

“Lotus has always been about cutting-edge innovation, and its foray into the Web3 market in this way, with an NFT program that is genuinely customer-focused, is another superb illustration of that. We are certain to provide absolutely remarkable content for a new digital community of Lotus enthusiasts thanks to our partnership with NFT PRO, a recognized authority in this industry.
