The first solo NFT collection by current British artist Maxim (MM), a founding member of the illustrious band The Prodigy, will be created in collaboration with the Web3 company Snowcrash.

On Wednesday, July 27, the public will be able to view the Lepidopterror collection, which comprises of 888 still images of four different kinds of armed butterflies.

In this series, butterflies are reimagined as dangerous creatures with lethal weapons and skulls.

Citizens, Worker Butterfly, Warrior Butterflies, and Royal Butterflies are the four different species of butterflies. The most prevalent type of butterfly is the citizen.

There will be 738 butterflies in all, 50 of which will be royal butterflies, 50 warrior butterflies, and 50 worker butterflies. Citizens will make up the last 738 people.

Each category has a particular role to play in Maxim’s scheme to defend the enchanted Golden Pollen from the Clown Wasps, and is a member of the earliest family of butterflies, known as the Lepidopterrors.

“Maxim is an extraordinary musician and excellent artist from the ferocity of the Prodigy to now these incredible weapon-wielding butterflies,” said Jesse Dylan, one of the co-founders of Snowcrash, regarding the band.

Crypto.com is a recognized pioneer in the Web3 sector, and we are delighted to work with them on this.

In 2009, Maxim for the first time came up with the concept for the Lepidopterror butterflies. He recalled seeing an advertisement when he was younger, showing a young child running across a field of corn while clutching a net in her hands and hoping to catch a lovely butterfly.

The butterflies in his paintings were given weapons as a result of his following reflections, giving them the ability and tenacity to fight themselves.

Maxim imagined a revolt headed by butterflies, which is depicted in the artwork in his Lepidopterror collection.

Maxim is currently producing NFTs, which he sees as the natural progression for his collection, and pushing his idea into the metaverse. He predicts that his collecting will continue in this manner.

Regarding his upcoming Lepidopterror NFT Drop, MAXIM stated his excitement.

“I’ve previously collaborated on the release of NFTs with two other artist pals, but this is my first solo NFT drop, and I’m excited about it. I am overjoyed to be working with the Snowcrash crew since our relationship is fantastic.

On March 2, 2022, a brand-new Web3 studio named Snowcrash was unveiled to the public. Its goal is to make it possible for marketers, publishers, and artists to create a sense of community, value, and ownership inside the Web3 ecosystem via NFTs.
